Everyone who likes public art will love the LOCA Art Talks gathering, on Friday May 10, 6:30-8:00pm at the beautiful Rivian South Coast Theater in downtown Laguna Beach.
Local artist Mike Tauber will present a lively slide-show of 25 pieces throughout the downtown area, including murals, sculptures, and temporary pieces. Tauber, who worked with many of the artists, will share fascinating background stories about many of the originals, including his own.
Among the guest presenters is Marsh Scott, who will do a “deep dive” into her metal and glass sculpture “Colors of the Canyon” on Broadway Street. She will explain the process of creating the work from concept to design, to presentation for approvals, to fabrication and installation.
Refreshments will be provided, and everyone will receive a post-event certificate for 15% off food at nearby Lumberyard Restaurant.
