Painting using Soft Pastels with Dawn Buckingham

One Day Workshop: Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 1:00- 3:30pm
Pastel artist, Dawn Buckingham, will guide you through the soft pastel painting process. This class is appropriate for all levels and will use soft pastel sticks as a painting medium.
You will begin by creating a values sketch from your landscape reference photo (or use one provided) to design your painting. The final sketch will then be transferred to sanded paper using pastel pigment and an alcohol wash. Next, soft pastel layers with be added over the wash to complete a painting that you will take home at the end of the session.
This workshop will be held at the Susi Q and Laguna Beach community Center in the art room
