LOCA Art Talks Presents Rick Graves – Africa and Utah
Thursday February 20, 5:30-7:00pm
The public is invited to LOCA Art Talks, offered monthly in downtown Laguna Beach. Everyone who likes animals will love the February presenter Rick Graves.
Graves is noted for his panoramic photos created using a long-format imaging system he created. He will discuss recent photography trips to Utah, where he captured spectacular images of wild mustangs, and Africa, where he photographed herds of zebra and elephants in the wild. Graves will share how he finds locations and angles, and the challenges he faces. “I was chased by a herd of black rhino’s at one point,” he said. Locally, Graves keeps a studio in Laguna Canyon, and has exhibited at Festival of Arts for many years.
As a bonus to those attending LOCA Art Talks, everyone will receive a post-event certificate for 15%-off food at nearby Lumberyard Restaurant. Advance registration is required.
