Eco-Dying with Reem Khalil~ Registration Closed, Class is at capacity

Two Day Workshop: Wednesdays April 18 and 25 from 1:00 – 4:00pm
Explore the art of Eco-printing/Eco-dyeing, a contemporary application of the traditions of natural dyeing. In eco printing/dyeing plants are steamed or immersed in hot water using heat to draw out the tannins and incorporating iron and copper. Eco-dyed fibers are then stretched out on archival canvas applying a thoughtful composition of assemblage using modeling paste for texture, gold leaf, watercolor pencils to detail images…viola!
