Two day workshop: Wednesdays, October 28 and November 4 from 1:00 – 4:00pm
Join Festival of Arts fabric artist Marianna Nelson to produce a unique piece of art made from recycled materials. Mariana will show the secrets of wrapping salvaged string and yarn in ways that create amazing patterns and fashioning them into wearable art. Recently she noticed that one of the “hot†items in the Paris fashion scene was an overly large pin that can be worn on jacket, hat, purse or shoes. Come create one of these pieces for your own fashion statement, or as a small sculpture. As a bonus, class members can choose to show their piece in a collaborative exhibit that will be on display in the T.E. Gallery next to the Mission Inn in downtown Riverside during the month of December. Mariana will be assisted in this class by Betty Haight.
