Decorative portraits with Hedy Buzan

LOCA’s fall adult workshops are carefully planned with safety as a priority. Held outdoors in a lovely Laguna Beach garden setting, participants will be required to wear masks and adhere to social distancing standards. Class size is limited, and LOCA members have priority registration.

Decorative portraits with Hedy Buzan – October 7 & 14, 2020

In this project we will take a fragment of a work done by an artist who uses pattern in their figurative artwork. We will be painting over a black and white reproduction and changing the image to make it our own. We will be examining the following techniques: painting over a gold acrylic ground, inventing pattern, color mixing and glazing with Caran Dache.
